In 2016, the SEPWA Executive welcomed Dan Sanderson, who has farmed west of Grass Patch since 1990, to the committee.
In 1994 Danny and his wife, Judy leased the farm they had been living on and had some difficult years to start with. Fortunately it all worked out well in the end and in 1998 they purchased that 2200ha they were leasing. In the last 7 years they have expanded their operation by leasing, share farming and in 2013 bought another 1200ha. Their son John is now a partner in the business and they own 3400ha (along with the bank) and share farm 1800 ha.
