SEPWA photo competition goes 'Against the Grain'
With harvest underway in the Esperance Port Zone, farmers are encouraged to always be armed with their phone or camera to partake in this year’s SEPWA photo competition.
“Against the grain” is the theme of this year’s competition where farmers are encouraged to see farming from a different angle. Judging the competition this year will be well renowned local photographer, Dan Paris who has a passion for landscape
photography.
Nufarm offers Incentive Based Sales Program.
Silver Sponsor Nufarm is offering to farmers to help boost their sponsorship of the South East Premium Wheat Grower's Association. For every drum of LI-700 sold within the Esperance region, Nufarm will dontate $5 to SEPWA, however the program ends on the 31st of December.
Farm Labour workshop that will be on in Esperance on the 20th of October.
“Sowing the seeds of productive working arrangements” will cover the role of women in employment arrangements on the farm, seasonal work issues, getting the pay and package right and more. Basically it will cover everything to do with hiring, managing and firing employees and employment legislation.
Upcoming Esperance Downs Research Station (EDRS) field day on Tuesday 6th of September.
The field day will focus on managing weed resistance, which is becoming an increasing problem for many farmers throughout the Esperance Port Zone.
New Executive Officer to lead the South East Premium Wheat Growers’ Association.
