In view of just how rapidly things are changing the South East Premium Wheat Growers’ Association (SEPWA) will run two information days dedicated to “technology”. With support from Telstra and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), the workshops will be conducted at Ravensthorpe and Esperance in March.Topics to be covered include mobile devices and the mobile office of the future; social media – what is it and why is it so powerful?; and life in the cloud – search engine meets social network in agriculture. There will be a panel discussion that will look into banking, marketing and purchasing – are they all going online?Precision Agriculture (PA) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) The Tech Heads, Technology in Agriculture workshop will be held at the Ravensthorpe Recreation Centre on Thursday 29th of March and then in Esperance on Friday the 30th March at the Civic Centre. The day commences at 10 am and costs SEPWA members and sponsors $15 and non-members $25, this includes morning tea, lunch and nibbles at the conclusion of the day.
