Young grain growers are being encouraged to venture beyond the farm gate to learn more about the grains
industry.
- Women's International Study Tour April 2008
14 women from the Esperance Port Zone ventured off to Singapore, Malaysia and China for 2 weeks to gain an
insight into how their grain is used in the Asian market place. Site visits included flour mills, malsters, brewers,
bakeries and other end users. The tour was lead by Ben Curtis from the Department of Agriculture and Food.
- One Stop Shop for Ryegrass January 2008
The South East Premium Wheatgrowers Association (SEPWA) is holding its first
improved pastures seminar. The half day event will provide local farmers a valuable
insight into a wide variety of ryegrass related topics.
