Fire Recovery ProjectA number of sponsors and industry representatives offered money post the November fires. They were: Interflour, AWB, PlumGrove, GIWA, Yuna Farm Improvement Group. The funds totalled almost $20,000. These have been used to run workshops and other events as needed by the recovering communities. Funds from Maggie Dent workshops were donated to Scaddan Primary School to re-build their gardens.

The three major Esperance fires on Tuesday, November 17 burnt an area of approximately 300,000ha which resulted in 4 fatalities; death of livestock (4500 sheep); plus, the losses of houses, sheds and machinery.
